Investors in People

We've always believed that our business is about delivering great service, and that's only possible if you have outstanding people and processes. To help us assess how we were doing and how to improve, we set out three years ago to achieve the Investors in People standard which was duly awarded in late 2008.

We're delighted to have been awarded (and retained) the Investor in People Gold standard following an assessment by IIP South West in November 2014. The IIP assessor said they were “inspired” by the many conversations that they had with different people at Aspira, and made particular mention of the focus on flexible working and the adaptability that we show in helping all staff to manage their work-life balance.

“We put a very high store in achieving the Gold standard as it is a benchmark, along with the annual employee survey results, for our aim to deliver the people part of our company vision - proud to work for Aspira. From a commercial perspective it has helped us win business in the past and should continue to do so, as well as attracting fabulous employees in the future.”

Aspira is also an Investors in People Champion - a Gold accredited firm which helps other companies on their IIP journey. Champions can share their experiences and insight through mentoring, conferences and open days. Champion status puts Aspira in the top 1.5% of companies that are assessed for the IIP standard and makes us one of only 8 champions in the whole of the South West so this is an achievement we're very proud of.
