On-going Service

Pension reform is about more than just setting up a pension. Once the scheme has been set up you have a number of ongoing legal duties, such as:

  • Assessing employees every pay reference period (e.g. monthly and/or weekly)
  • Communicating to employees about their pension options
  • Automatically joining employees to the pension scheme and paying an employer contribution
  • Facilitating instructions from employees who wish to opt-out of the pension scheme
  • Providing a route for employees to opt-in to the pension scheme
  • Re-enrolling employees who have chosen to opt-out of the pension scheme every 3 years

As part of our on-going service and governance solution, we’ll provide a telephone helpline for guidance on ongoing scheme management and routine administration. We’ll also provide you with an annual report covering:

  • Scheme membership and demographics
  • Continued scheme suitability
  • Regulation changes and areas for action
  • Investment performance of the default fund
