
On-going Service
Pension reform is about more than just setting up a pension. Once the scheme has been set up you have a number of ongoing legal duties, such as:
- Assessing employees every pay reference period (e.g. monthly and/or weekly)
- Communicating to employees about their pension options
- Automatically joining employees to the pension scheme and paying an employer contribution
- Facilitating instructions from employees who wish to opt-out of the pension scheme
- Providing a route for employees to opt-in to the pension scheme
- Re-enrolling employees who have chosen to opt-out of the pension scheme every 3 years
As part of our on-going service and governance solution, we’ll provide a telephone helpline for guidance on ongoing scheme management and routine administration. We’ll also provide you with an annual report covering:
- Scheme membership and demographics
- Continued scheme suitability
- Regulation changes and areas for action
- Investment performance of the default fund
